Some background processes are hogging the CPU, most notably, the fileproviderd process. I was wondering if it was the Logitech webcam I was using, which I only got recently, as previously I hadn’t had any problems. Quite expectedly, some of the most reported issues on macOS Catalina are speed-related. Zoom did start acting very slowly, with massive cursor lag, for a few minutes. I could also alt-tab, and the open application overlay would appear and i could cycle through the icons, but it wouldn’t actually switch to another application. The cursor moved, and Zoom was still “working” in the sense that the meeting continued, and students could still see and hear me. Ive uninstalled and reinstalled Zoom a few times.
